About This Tour

Petra deserves a full day — and this private tour gives it exactly that. We collect you from your hotel in Amman or the Dead Sea in the early morning and drive south along the scenic Desert Highway, arriving at the gates of the Rose-Red City before the crowds build. Your licensed guide leads you through the winding Siq, a narrow canyon whose sandstone walls suddenly part to reveal the Treasury (Al-Khazneh), the most photographed facade in the Middle East.

From there the ancient Nabataean city keeps unfolding: the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, the Roman-era Theatre carved into living rock, and the Great Temple. Those with energy can climb the 800 steps to the Monastery (Ad-Deir) — bigger than the Treasury and far quieter — or up to the High Place of Sacrifice for sweeping views over the whole valley. Your guide adjusts the pace and route to your interests, shares the history behind every carved doorway, and knows exactly where to stop for photos. Lunch at a local restaurant inside or beside the site is included, and by evening you're back at your hotel with the highlight of Jordan behind you.
