Aqaba & Red Sea Adventure
About This Tour
Jordan's 27 kilometers of Red Sea coastline pack in some of the healthiest coral reefs in the world — and Aqaba is the sunny, laid-back city that guards them. This private day tour brings you from Amman, Petra or Wadi Rum to the coast, where the adventure starts in the water: snorkeling over the Japanese Garden and Cedar Pride reef sites, home to lionfish, sea turtles, and coral gardens in every color. Equipment is included, and beginners get patient guidance; certified divers can swap snorkeling for a two-tank dive with our partner center.
Back on land, your guide shows you Aqaba's other side: the 14th-century Mamluk Fort where the Arab Revolt raised its flag in 1917, the archaeological remains of Ayla — the early Islamic port city — and the buzzing souk, where the scent of cardamom coffee and grilled seafood fills the evening air. We finish with fresh catch at a waterfront restaurant, and there is an optional sunset cruise on a glass-bottom boat if the sea is calm. Warm winters make Aqaba a year-round destination; combine it with Wadi Rum for the perfect south-Jordan pairing.
