🚙 4WD Jeep Safari
About This Adventure
A 4WD jeep safari is the default way to experience Wadi Rum's scale — the valley is vast, the rock formations are spread kilometres apart, and some sites are only reachable on rough, unmarked tracks that require proper off-road clearance and a driver who has done it a thousand times.
Standard tours visit Lawrence of Arabia's House (he stayed here during the Arab Revolt), Um Fruth Rock Bridge (the climbable one), Khazali Canyon with its ancient Nabataean inscriptions, the red dune belt, and the open plains known as Lawrence's Spring. Longer tours reach sites few visitors see.
Bedouin guides drive their own vehicles with a familiarity that borders on the supernatural — these families have been navigating this desert for centuries, and it shows.

Weather Warning
Extreme summer heat makes long open-top jeep drives genuinely dangerous — sustained 45°C+ air temps cause heat exhaustion even with shade and water. Spring sandstorms appear with little warning; rough terrain amplifies vehicle motion on soft dune surfaces. Always carry more water than you think you need.
