🌊 Dead Sea Floating & Mud Spa
About This Adventure
The Dead Sea's salinity is roughly 34% — ten times the average ocean — which means the water is so dense that you physically cannot sink. Every first-time visitor goes through the same three stages: disbelief, the attempt to sit up straight (impossible), and then the resigned sprawl that is the actual correct posture for Dead Sea floating.
The experience is completed by applying the black mineral mud that lines the shallower sections, leaving it to dry in the sun, then rinsing off to discover that your skin has achieved a smoothness usually associated with expensive spa treatments. The mud is genuinely mineral-rich and the skin effect is real, even if the medical claims are occasionally overenthusiastic.
Private beach access is significantly better than public beaches — cleaner facilities, freshwater showers to remove the salt after floating (this is not optional; the salt residue is extraordinary), and proper infrastructure for a comfortable visit.

Weather Advisory
Extreme salinity irritates any open cuts, scratches, or razor burn severely — do not shave for 24 hours before visiting and stay out if you have any open wounds. Salt water in the eyes is extremely painful and temporarily disabling; waterproof goggles or extreme caution when leaning back. Time limits apply: 15–20 minutes in the water is sufficient and recommended; longer immersion irritates skin. The sun at the Dead Sea is intense: you are below sea level in a geological depression with UV reflecting off salt water.
