About This Adventure

Wadi Rum is one of the darkest inhabited places on Earth. There are no cities for miles, no light pollution worth mentioning, and on a moonless night the Milky Way is not a faint smudge — it is a river of light that arcs from horizon to horizon. The glass domes exist to make sure you don't sleep through it.

These are full-comfort bubble suites: a proper bed, air conditioning or heating, a private bathroom, and a transparent panoramic roof aimed straight at the sky. You check in before sunset, watch the desert turn from gold to violet to black, and then the show starts — shooting stars included at no extra charge, subject to the universe's scheduling.

Most camps pair the night with classic Wadi Rum extras: a zarb dinner cooked underground, Bedouin tea by the fire, and an optional sunrise jeep tour the next morning. It is the desert's greatest spectacle experienced horizontally, under a duvet. Adventure does not always require cardio.

Some camps take it further — bubble suites with a lounge, deck and private hot tub in the middle of the desert.

Weather Advisory

The domes themselves are climate-controlled, but check the lunar calendar — a full moon washes out all but the brightest stars, so aim for the week around a new moon. Winter nights outside the dome drop to 0–5°C; bring layers for the fireside evening. Rare sandstorms (mainly spring) can reduce visibility — camps will advise on conditions.
