About This Adventure

Tandem paragliding requires the same courage as getting into a cable car — which is to say, not very much at all. You sit in a harness in front of an instructor, run three steps down a slope, and suddenly you are airborne and the ground is very far away and it is extremely quiet.

The Petra highlands offer particularly dramatic flying — rose-red mountains, deep valleys, and the occasional glimpse of ancient carved facades far below. Wadi Rum's open desert provides longer glides with the surreal scale of the valley made even more apparent from above.

Paramotor (powered paraglider) gives the pilot more control over direction and allows flying from flat ground, extending range and enabling more flexible routes. Great option for when thermals are light.

WIND CRITICAL — flights are cancelled when wind exceeds 20 knots; gusts above this level are dangerous for both paragliding and paramotor. Summer thermal activity creates chaotic, unpredictable air columns that are unsafe for tourist flights. Always book with operators who have certified gear and do not fly in marginal conditions — in paragliding, optimism is a liability.
