Seven days is the sweet spot for Jordan: enough to see every headline sight without ever feeling rushed. This is the route we drive with guests week after week, refined over hundreds of trips.
Days 1–2: Amman and the Roman north
Land in Amman and ease in: Citadel, Roman Theatre, knafeh downtown, sunset from Rainbow Street. Day two heads north to Jerash — the best-preserved Roman city outside Italy — with Ajloun Castle and its green forest reserve after lunch.
Day 3: Madaba, Mount Nebo and the Dead Sea
Drive the short biblical circuit: the 6th-century mosaic map in Madaba, Moses' view from Mount Nebo, then down to 430 meters below sea level for an afternoon floating in the Dead Sea. Sleep at a Dead Sea resort — sunset over the water is unmissable.
Days 4–5: Petra, properly
Take the King's Highway south with stops at Kerak's Crusader castle or the Dana Biosphere viewpoint. Give Petra a full day (see our Petra guide for the ideal route), and if energy allows, add the candlelit Petra by Night show. Two nights in Wadi Musa keeps mornings unhurried.
Days 6–7: Wadi Rum and the Red Sea
An hour from Petra, swap the vehicle for a Bedouin 4x4: jeep safari all afternoon, sunset on a dune, zarb dinner and a night under the stars. Day seven finishes at Aqaba for Red Sea snorkeling and a seafood lunch before the drive or flight home.
The whole route runs beautifully with one private guide and driver throughout — one WhatsApp message and we take care of hotels, camps, entrances and timing. It is exactly what our Classical Jordan tours are built from.
