🏄 Windsurfing
About This Adventure
Windsurfers know something the rest of the world has not worked out yet: Aqaba in winter is a gem. The same northerly winds that keep jet skiers off the water from November to March are precisely what windsurfers travel here to find — consistent 15–25 knot thermals, warm-ish water, and almost no crowds.
The bay's geography funnels and accelerates northern winds, creating reliable conditions that are genuinely hard to find elsewhere in the region at this time of year. Advanced sailors can work the outer bay; learners have a calmer inshore stretch to get comfortable.
Rental and lessons are available at several beach clubs along the southern strip. Bring a 4–5 mm wetsuit in January; the water is manageable but the wind chill is real.

Weather Advisory
Wind-dependent by definition — conditions vary daily even in prime season; always check a marine forecast. Summer heat is extreme (air 40°C+) and winds are light and inconsistent, making summer sessions uncomfortable and unproductive. Beginners should book lessons rather than equipment-only.
